Lisa Middlemiss, Principal Lawyer

Lisa Middlemiss opened the doors of Middlemiss Immigration Law in September 2024. Lisa has been practising in Canadian immigration and citizenship law ever since. Whether it be helping a multinational company with a Work Permit application for their executive or assisting a couple with their Spousal Sponsorship application, Lisa thrives in the varied nature of her practice.

Subsequently, Lisa was elected as a table officer of the CBA’s National Immigration Law Section’s executive, holding the lock-step positions of secretary/communications officer, vice-chair, chair, and immediate past chair.

Before completing her civil law and common law degrees at McGill University, Lisa worked for the International Policy and Agreements Division of Human Resources and Social Development Canada in Ottawa, which gave her an appreciation for the civil service.
